I am so copping out of this blog post today. Either I have a sinus infection or a cold/sinus infection. Either way I feel like dusty cotton has been shoved between my ears, jalapeno juice squirted in my eyes and soaking wet spit balls shoved up my nose. Yeah me. *fist pump* More importantly according to my husband I should not do anything that takes brain power while I’m sick. So no crafts (you’ll see next week) and no sharing my thoughts and views on my life and the extension of my life.
This illness has caused me to reflect more on the H1N1 flu shot. I have a close family member that is in the medical field and is pushing me to get my family vaccinated. Not pushing too hard as they know how stubborn I am and if they shove me enough I’ll say no out of spite. But I’m feeling beyond rough right now and I would hate for one of the bears to get sick and feel this awful. My family member rattled off some numbers of how many Americans will get the H1N1 flu and more importantly that possibly around 90,000 may die from said flu. I’m a huge worrywart and until recently worried about every little thing. Over the past year with hard work I have reduced this flaw tremendously but with the thought of my family getting ill it has started to creep back.
I’m going to do some more research over the weekend and weigh my heart and I’ll finish this conversation on Monday with a clearer head.
But I want to know are you going to get the shot?
Going to get your family vaccinated?
If so, why?
If not, why?
Right now it is time for more cold meds but I leave you with a juvenile rhyme that has been going through my head all day.
When your nose is runny,
And you kiss your honey,
You may think it is funny,
But it’s snot.

Well if you're asking my opinion I will tell you what the oncologist told my Mom. He said as a doctor he will not take the vaccination delivered through the nose because it has a live virus; however, he did recommend the shot to Mom once it comes out since it will not have any live virus.
